The Australian government intends to promote living and studying in Australia's designated "Regional Areas" for foreign students. You can get an additional 5 points on the Immigration Points Tests, which may improve your chances of receiving permanent residency in Australia, if you live and study in one of these Regional Areas for at least 2- years. Numerous extra advantages of studying in regional regions will also be made available starting in November 2019, such as more points for Regional State Nomination and an additional year on the graduate work visa.
